The Kings Deception Audiobook– Official Site
Author: Steve Berry
Narrator: Scott Brick
Version: Unabridged
Listening Length: 13 hours and 25 minutes
The Kings Deception is a masterpiece by Steve Berry. It starts off with an unsuspecting Father (Cotton Malone) and son assisting a fugitive back to England, but with a turn of events, they were unsuccessful in doing so, since both the fugitive and his son were gone. This book will give you one of the best thrills ever.
If you haven’t been following the adventures of Berry’s hero Cotton Malone, you’d be amused to think that he can’t seem to make a simple trip from one place to another without being caught into something that entwines him with international conspiracy.
Hopefully this review will give you an idea about how great The Kings Deception really is.
The Kings Deception Audiobook – Don’t compare Cotton
You might have heard a lot about the comparison of Dan Brown’s hero of Robert Langdon with Cotton Malone, but they are not the same. First and foremost, they face different aspects and conspiracies. Though both are kind of witty and seem to find trouble each time, Cotton seems to fall for them unknowingly, unlike Robert who is the one sought for.
Anyhow, reading this novel will help you understand the big difference and how an amazing character Cotton Malone is. Prepare to enter his mind and learn how he does away with things.
The Kings Deception Audiobook – Get To Know London
This book will be a good way to learn about London’s landmarks. You’d be amazed on how he has studied history and also come up with a great plot out of these places. I heard that he stayed on some places on his book to get the feel of the place.
The Kings Deception Audiobook – About the Narrator
No issues on the narrator. The story is well narrated with adequate feelings. 13 hours will easily pass.
The Kings Deception Audiobook – The plot
The plot basically centers on a CIA operation to blackmail the English government so that they can pressure the country of Scotland to release a locked bomber through a so called “humanitarian reasons.” This is the only section I’ll share about the plot. From that, you can expect a lot of conspiracy and mind games as you move along the novel.
You’ll also figure that the character may not be the one you expect him to be. The unexpected turn of events truly makes this book enjoyable. And, yes a simple synopsis will not cover the convoluted path of the novel.
The Kings Deception Audiobook – Fans of Steve Berry will love this
As for fans of this great author, once you finish reading this, you’ll be looking forward for his next book.
The Kings Deception Audiobook – In Conclusion
If you are the historical guy who wants to have a thrill at the same time, then The Kings Deception is for you. Berry’s intricate description of places and government schemes will keep you asking for more. This book is a work of art.
